Service FAQs

Our signature 10-minute oil change is one of the fastest in the industry. You can usually drive in without an appointment and be back on the road in about 10 minutes. During this time, we’ll also complete a free 20-point courtesy inspection, checking vital components like fluids, filters, belts, hoses, and lights. Unlike dealership visits that may keep you waiting, we’re built for speed without sacrificing quality. Whether you choose conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic oil, the process is quick and efficient.

No appointment is required for most services, including oil changes, tire repair, and inspections. Just drive in at a time that works for you. For larger repairs - like transmission flushes, drivetrain service, or suspension work - scheduling ahead is recommended to make sure that a bay is open. Use our online scheduler to reserve a spot if you prefer.

That depends on your driving habits, climate, and vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation. Conventional oil works well for most older vehicles with simpler engines. Synthetic oil offers better protection against high heat, cold starts, and engine deposits. Many modern cars require it. Still unsure? Read our breakdown of synthetic vs. conventional oil or let our technicians check your manual and driving patterns to recommend the right option.

Most vehicles today require an oil change every 3,000 to 7,500 miles, depending on whether you use conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic oil. Driving habits, stop-and-go traffic, and weather conditions also play a role. At every visit, we’ll place a mileage reminder sticker in your window, and during your scheduled maintenance, we’ll help you set up a service plan specific to your vehicle.

Every oil change at Express Oil includes:

  • Fresh motor oil & a new filter

  • A free 20-point courtesy inspection

  • Fluid top-offs (coolant, brake, washer fluid, power steering)

  • Air filter & cabin filter check

  • Tire wear check & pressure adjustment

This guarantees that even a quick oil change gives you peace of mind beyond just the oil.

Oil change costs vary based on the type of oil and filter your vehicle requires. Conventional oil is the most affordable, while synthetic oil changes cost more but extend intervals and provide superior protection. We regularly offer coupons and promotions, so check our website before your visit.

Brakes should be inspected at least once a year or anytime you notice squealing, vibration, or reduced stopping power. Our brake pad and brake rotor pages explain what to watch for. Since brake safety is critical, we recommend including a brake check during every oil change.

If your car pulls to one side, the steering wheel is off-center, or your tires show uneven wear, you may need an alignment. Other signs include vibrating steering or a “loose” steering feel. Left unchecked, misalignment reduces fuel economy and tire life. We recommend checking alignment annually, or after hitting a major pothole or curb.

Every oil change includes a 20-point inspection covering:

It’s a preventative snapshot of your car’s health at no extra cost.

We visually inspect and clean your battery terminals during each courtesy inspection. If you’re experiencing slow starts, dim headlights, or a battery warning light, our technicians can perform a full battery test on request and replace it on the spot with a high-quality, warrantied battery suited to your vehicle.

Yes - our courtesy inspection includes a visual check of tire wear and condition. If we notice uneven wear, we’ll recommend tire rotation and balancing or a wheel alignment. Tire pressure checks can be performed upon request, and we also carry a full selection of tires for every type of vehicle.

No - as an authorized service provider, we can perform all scheduled maintenance without voiding your warranty. We use parts and fluids that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications. Plus, keeping records of regular maintenance here can actually help support warranty claims.

We’re a full-service shop. Beyond oil changes, we handle:

From oil changes to full system diagnostics, our certified technicians handle nearly every aspect of car care. You can view the full service menu here.

If you feel excessive bouncing, swaying, drifting on turns, or a stiff ride, your shocks and struts or steering and suspension components may be worn. Worn suspension not only affects comfort but also safety, since it reduces tire contact and handling performance.

  • Convenience - No appointment needed for most services.

  • Trust - Certified technicians who follow manufacturer specs.

  • Value - Competitive prices on everything from brakes to tires.

  • Complete care - From diagnostics to tune-ups, we handle it all.

Dealerships often take longer and cost more, while we deliver fast, professional service geared for everyday drivers.
